A bit about the role
Are you a driven, commercially focused sales professional with a passion for building new business and developing strong client relationships?
We are seeking a Sales Manager to join our growing team, with a clear focus on expanding our client base and driving revenue growth across our SAP services portfolio. This role will involve identifying, engaging, and converting new business opportunities, while working collaboratively with internal teams to deliver high-quality client solutions.
Reporting to the UK VP of Sales, you will play a key role in positioning Applexus as a trusted partner for SAP-led business transformation. You will be responsible for developing relationships with prospective clients, understanding their business challenges, and aligning our service offerings to deliver measurable value.

This role is suited to someone who is proactive, resilient, and motivated by achieving and exceeding sales targets.
What you’ll be doing
Key responsibilities will include:
- Identifying, targeting, and engaging prospective clients to generate new business opportunities
- Building and maintaining a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities aligned to revenue targets
- Leading the full sales lifecycle, from initial engagement through to negotiation and deal closure
- Developing a strong understanding of client business challenges and aligning solutions across S/4HANA, AMS, Analytics, and transformation programmes
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to shape compelling and commercially viable proposals
- Preparing and delivering high-quality proposals, presentations, and commercial responses
- Establishing and developing relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within target organisations
- Contributing to overall sales strategy, market positioning, and go-to-market approaches
- Maintaining accurate pipeline and activity reporting

What we want from you
- Proven experience in new business development within a technology services environment
- Experience selling complex solutions, ideally within IT, data & analytics, or digital transformation services
- Exposure to SAP services (S/4HANA, AMS, Analytics) is advantageous but not essential
- Strong ability to understand client business challenges and translate these into practical, value-driven solutions
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- A proactive, results-oriented mindset, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
- Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to quickly establish credibility with clients
- Commercially aware, with a strategic and solutions-focused approach to identifying opportunities
- Well organised, with strong planning, time management, and prioritisation skills
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team
