Sales Manager – Head of Education Hybrid | Manchester, Leeds or Birmingham Competitive Salary (DOE) + Uncapped Commission + Excellent Benefits
Are you an experienced sales leader with a passion for the Education sector? Do you have a proven track record of building and developing high-performing sales teams within the VAR or MSP market?
I'm partnering with a highly successful and well-established technology solutions provider to recruit a Sales Manager – Head of Education. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead an established Public Sector sales function, driving growth across schools, colleges, universities and multi-academy trusts. With an excellent reputation, strong vendor partnerships and ambitious growth plans, this organisation is investing heavily in its Education division and is looking for a leader who can help shape the next phase of its success.
The Role
You'll take ownership of the Education sales function, leading and developing a team of experienced Account Managers and Business Development professionals. Your focus will be on driving sustainable revenue growth, developing go-to-market strategies, coaching your team to maximise performance and strengthening relationships across the Education sector. Working closely with senior leadership, pre-sales, marketing and technical specialists, you'll help position the business as a trusted technology partner across networking, cloud, cyber security, modern workplace, managed services and professional services.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing Education sales team.
- Define and execute the commercial strategy for the Education sector.
- Drive new business acquisition alongside growth within existing customers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key education customers, vendor partners and framework providers.
- Support your team on strategic sales opportunities and complex bids.
- Deliver accurate forecasting, pipeline management and sales reporting.
- Collaborate with marketing and technical teams to create compelling customer propositions.
- Foster a collaborative, accountable and high-performance sales culture.
About You
We're looking for an inspirational sales leader with experience of selling technology solutions into the Education sector. You'll ideally have:
- Experience leading successful sales teams within a VAR, MSP or technology solutions provider.
- A strong understanding of the UK Education market, including schools, colleges, universities and/or multi-academy trusts.
- A proven track record of delivering revenue growth and exceeding sales targets.
- Experience selling a broad portfolio of IT solutions, including cloud, networking, cyber security, modern workplace, managed services and professional services.
- Strong coaching and people development skills.
- Excellent commercial awareness with the ability to develop long-term customer relationships.
