Sales Manager

Swadlincote, Derbyshire £50,000 - £55,000 Full-Time, Monday to Friday

Eaton Syalon are delighted to be working with a growing business based in Swadlincote to recruit an experienced Sales Manager.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious sales leader who enjoys developing people, driving performance and making a genuine impact. Reporting directly to the Sales Director, you'll take ownership of the day to day leadership of the sales function, working closely with managers and the wider leadership team to deliver continued growth.

The Role

As Sales Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering the company's sales strategy while ensuring the department operates efficiently and effectively.

You'll lead, support and develop the wider sales management team, monitor performance, identify opportunities for improvement and work collaboratively across the business to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll have the opportunity to influence business performance while helping shape the future direction of the sales function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and develop the Sales Manager and wider sales leadership team to achieve outstanding results.
  • Drive a high-performance culture through coaching, accountability and continuous development.
  • Set, monitor and review departmental KPIs, ensuring targets are achieved.
  • Oversee the performance of inbound, outbound and sales support teams.
  • Analyse sales data, forecasts and commercial performance to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Work closely with the Sales Director to implement sales strategies that support business growth.
  • Identify process improvements that enhance efficiency and customer experience.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless customer journey.
  • Provide leadership and direction across the sales function during periods of senior management absence.
  • Support strategic projects and contribute to the continued growth of the business.

About You

We're looking for an experienced sales leader with a passion for developing people and delivering results.

  • Proven experience managing B2B sales teams within a commercial environment.
  • Previous experience leading managers or multiple sales teams.
  • A track record of driving sales growth and improving team performance.
  • Strong coaching, mentoring and people development skills.
  • Excellent commercial awareness with the ability to interpret sales data and make informed business decisions.
  • Experience using CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with excellent problem-solving abilities.
