Sales Manager – Exhibitions & Sponsorship

Location: London (Hybrid, 3 days in office)
Salary: £48,000-50,000 + Commission

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sales Manager to join a market-leading events business. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in exhibition and sponsorship sales who is passionate about leading high-performing teams while driving revenue growth across an established portfolio of large-scale B2B events.

This is a hands-on management position, combining personal sales responsibility with the leadership of a successful sales team.

The Role

As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for delivering exhibition stand and sponsorship revenue across a portfolio of flagship events. You'll manage an established team, develop key client relationships, identify new business opportunities, and play a pivotal role in the commercial success of the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate and develop a team of five sales professionals.
  • Conduct regular one-to-one meetings and monitor individual performance against KPIs.
  • Drive exhibition stand and sponsorship sales across a portfolio of established events.
  • Manage a mix of existing key accounts while proactively generating new business.
  • Build long-term relationships with senior decision-makers and key stakeholders.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and CRM.
  • Monitor market activity and identify new commercial opportunities.
  • Attend industry events to generate leads, build relationships and support business growth.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure a seamless client experience from sale through to event delivery.
  • Produce regular sales forecasts and performance reports for senior management.

About You

We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Proven success in exhibition stand and sponsorship sales.
  • Previous experience managing and developing a sales team.
  • A strong track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive, commercially minded approach to winning new business.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confidence working with CRM systems and managing sales pipelines.
  • A positive, energetic leadership style with the ability to inspire others.
