Sales Manager (Stafford Mercedes-Benz) – Permanent

Contract & Remuneration
- Position: Permanent Sales Manager at Stafford Mercedes-Benz
- Salary: Up to £80,000 (including bonus)
- Hours: 44 per week
- Mon–Fri: 9:00am to 6:00pm (one late finish at 7:00pm and a midweek day off)
- Sat: 9:00am to 5:00pm (rota basis)
- Sun: 11:00am to 3:00pm (rota basis)
About the Role
A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen at Stafford Mercedes-Benz for a Sales Manager. This is a chance to lead an established department in a high-growth premium automotive franchise.
As Sales Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Setting the standard for customer service excellence and team leadership.
- Building long-term customer relationships and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Reporting directly to the General Manager while influencing a team under your guidance.
The idealy suited candidate will receive a competitive remuneration package, access to in-house training, and a supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full sales process, from initial web inquiries to final showroom sales.
- Manage staff performance through structured 1:1s, training, and development programmes.
- Implement departmental targets and manufacturer Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Purchase and price vehicles, ensuring up-to-date stock valuation and profitability.
- Uphold Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) compliance within the Sales Department.
- Own and manage Customer Satisfaction, ensuring positive experiences at every touchpoint.

Requirements
✅ Industry experience in a premium automotive environment with a track record in transactional sales. ✅ Proven leadership in coaching and motivating a high-performance team. ✅ Financial acumen, including budgeting, performance reviews, and addressing budget shortfalls. ✅ Strong understanding of finance and insurance product regulations. ✅ Exceptional communication, negotiation, and influence skills. ✅ A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
