Job Summary:
Delta Hotels by Marriott St. Pierre Country Club is seeking an ambitious, results-driven, and proactive Sales Manager to join our commercial team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate sales professional to drive new business opportunities, develop strong client relationships, and maximise revenue across our hotel, meetings and events, golf, leisure, and accommodation offerings.
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual with a proven track record in proactive sales, business development, and account management within the hospitality sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify, target, and secure new business opportunities across corporate, meetings, events, leisure, and group segments.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified sales opportunities.
- Conduct regular client appointments, sales calls, and site visits to generate new business.
- Research local, regional, and national market trends to identify potential revenue opportunities.
- Develop strong relationships with key decision-makers and corporate clients.
- Generate new corporate accounts through networking, prospecting, and cold-calling activities.
- Manage and grow existing client accounts to maximise revenue and retention.
- Promote hotel facilities including guest rooms, meeting spaces, golf facilities, dining outlets, and leisure amenities.
- Prepare and present tailored proposals, contracts, and rate agreements.
- Represent the hotel at industry events, exhibitions, networking functions, and trade shows.
- Collaborate closely with the Revenue, Marketing, Events, and Operations teams to deliver commercial objectives.
- Maintain accurate sales activity records and forecasts using Marriott systems and CRM platforms.
- Monitor competitor activity and market intelligence to support business strategy.
- Negotiate commercial agreements while maintaining profitability and brand standards.
- Conduct regular account reviews and business development meetings with key clients.
- Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the sales cycle.
- Support the creation and execution of annual sales and marketing plans.
- Achieve agreed KPIs relating to revenue generation, account acquisition, and client engagement.
- Produce regular sales reports, pipeline updates, and performance analysis.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling across all hotel revenue streams.
- Work closely with the Hotel & Cluster Commercial Team to support wider business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards, policies, and procedures.
- Contribute positively to team culture and support the development of best sales practices.

Skills & Experience Required

- Previous experience in hotel sales, business development, or account management preferred.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong knowledge of the corporate, meetings, and events market.
- Excellent networking and relationship-building skills.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, and CRM systems.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
