###Senior Sales Manager
An exciting opportunity for an **experienced sales professional to join a specialist supplier serving the food & drink / fresh produce supply chain. This senior, field-facing role is a blend of new business development, strategic account management, and close collaboration with technical and field support teams.
The role is hybrid (home/office), with regular travel to a North Yorkshire office, as well as frequent UK customer site visits.
Overview
You will:
- Drive territory growth across the UK, converting leads into contracted business.
- Protect, expand, and grow existing accounts.
- Partner with field support and commercial teams, presenting technically grounded commercial solutions.
- Negotiate contractual terms and drive pipeline and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Development
- Generate leads via CRM follow-up, targeted outreach, industry networking, and direct customer engagement.
- Identify and explore new market opportunities in food, drink, and fresh produce supply.
Account Management
- Manage and grow existing accounts, coordinating with field support to ensure seamless customer service and delivery.
- Develop long-term partnerships with growers, processors, and supply chain partners.

Commercial & CRM Functions
- Maintain accurate pipeline and activity records in the CRM system.
- Deliver concise, data-driven reports to senior management for strategic decision-making.
Contractual & Negotiation Excellence
- Negotiate commercial terms and close mid-to-large-scale deals.
- Prepare competitive proposals tailored to client needs.
Strategic Insights & Representation
- Provide market intelligence and competitor insights to shape business strategy.
- Represent the business at demonstrations, customer visits, and industry events.
- Adhere to health & safety standards during off-site engagements.
Requirements & Skills
Core Experience
- Proven B2B sales career in agriculture, fresh produce, food & drink, or related technical industries.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience negotiating and closing deals.
- Ability to sell technically complex solutions, translating specifications into measurable benefits.
Key Attributes
- Exceptional relationship-building and influence skills for senior decision-makers in supply chains.
- Fluent with CRM software and organized reporting of activity and outcomes.
- Full UK driving licence due to extensive national travel requirements.
- Sector-specific knowledge (e.g., agronomy, supply chain logistics, technical storage solutions) or a degree in agricultural science preferred but not mandatory.
