About the Role
Are you an experienced Sales Manager or Commercial professional with a background in estimating, quotations, or technical sales? Do you enjoy developing client relationships, identifying commercial opportunities, and delivering winning solutions that drive revenue growth?
We're looking for an ambitious Sales Manager to join our growing Commercial team. You will be responsible for managing enquiries from initial contact through to quotation, negotiation, and project handover, combining commercial estimating expertise with proactive business development.

In return, we offer a competitive salary, excellent career progression opportunities, and the chance to join one of the UK's leading event infrastructure providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities while nurturing existing client relationships to maximise revenue growth.
- Manage enquiries from initial customer contact through to quotation, negotiation, and successful handover to Operations.
- Prepare accurate, commercially competitive quotations and pricing proposals across a range of rental solutions and event services.
- Identify customer requirements and provide tailored commercial solutions that deliver value for both the client and the business.
- Build strong working relationships with clients, becoming a trusted commercial advisor throughout the sales process.
- Work collaboratively with Sales Support, Operations, Procurement, and Project Delivery teams to ensure commercially viable proposals are delivered.
- Produce detailed costing models, margin analysis, and pricing strategies to maximise profitability.
- Maintain accurate customer records, quotations, opportunities, and pipeline activity within the CRM system (Zoho).
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and supplier pricing to ensure competitive positioning.
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities, ensuring all quotations meet internal approval processes.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while supporting long-term account growth and repeat business.
- Attend client meetings, site visits, and occasional industry events to strengthen relationships and identify new opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with all company Health & Safety policies and procedures.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
