Sales Manager - Bespoke Learning

Location: Bristol/Remote UK
Salary: Competitive
Reporting to: Director of Bespoke Learning

A rare opportunity to shape the commercial future of something special

Bespoke by Kallidus has built an extraordinary team, an outstanding track record, and customer experience scores averaging over 98%, now, we’re looking for a Sales Manager to help us take the next step. This is more than a sales leadership role. You’ll have genuine autonomy to shape our new business and account strategy, define how we go to market, and lead the commercial future of Bespoke.

Sitting on the Bespoke Senior Leadership Team, you’ll own our billing target and lead both new business development and account management. You’ll also stay close to customers yourself, managing senior relationships and helping to win and grow our most important accounts.

Our ambition is clear: 30% growth in FY27.

We have the team, the solutions, and the track record. Now we need a commercial leader who can help us make it happen.

The Opportunity

At Bespoke, we don’t simply sell learning content. We work with customers to understand the business problems they need to solve and create bespoke learning experiences designed to deliver measurable outcomes.

As Sales Manager, you’ll put this outcomes-led approach at the heart of our commercial strategy. You’ll lead at both a strategic and tactical level – from deciding which markets and sectors we should pursue globally, to coaching an Account Manager through a complex opportunity or leading a major customer conversation yourself.

You’ll work closely with our Solutions and Production teams to ensure every opportunity starts with excellent discovery and results in a solution that genuinely addresses the customer’s needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Owning the commercial target
    • Take full accountability for Bespoke’s billing target, maintaining a clear view of performance, pipeline, opportunities, and risks – and ensuring the leadership team always has an accurate commercial picture.
  • Leading and developing the sales team
    • Lead our new business development and Account Management teams, coaching individuals to improve their commercial skills, discovery conversations, and customer relationships.
    • You’ll also look for smarter ways of working, including using AI and automation to reduce friction, improve targeting, and give the team more time for the conversations that matter.
  • Setting our new business strategy
    • Define and implement our new business strategy, identifying the markets, sectors, and customers where Bespoke can have the greatest impact.
    • You’ll help position Bespoke as a leading outcomes-led learning partner and ensure our success is supported by compelling case studies, customer stories, and evidence of measurable impact.
  • Growing existing accounts
    • Help our Account Managers become trusted partners to their customers, identifying opportunities to expand relationships and using the outcomes we have already delivered as the foundation for future growth.
  • Managing pipeline and forecasting
    • Build and maintain a healthy, well-qualified pipeline and provide reliable forecasting that the Senior Leadership Team can confidently plan against.
    • You’ll also lead from the front, maintaining your own portfolio of senior customer relationships and strategic opportunities.
  • Contributing at leadership level
    • As a member of the Bespoke Senior Leadership Team, you’ll represent the commercial function, contribute to strategic decisions, and ensure commercial performance remains front and centre.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Required Skills, Experience and Behaviours

We’re looking for an ambitious commercial leader who combines strategic thinking with the willingness to get involved and close deals.

You’ll bring:

  • Experience selling bespoke or consultative solutions. You understand project-based sales, custom scoping, and longer, multi-stakeholder buying cycles – not just SaaS or transactional selling.
  • Strong commercial drive. You’re motivated by the number and comfortable taking ownership of ambitious growth and billing targets.
  • Sales leadership experience. You know how to lead, coach, and develop both new business and account management professionals.
  • A genuine discovery mindset. You ask great questions, listen carefully, and understand that the quality of the solution depends on the quality of the conversation that comes before it.
  • Strategic and hands-on capability. You can set the commercial strategy and then step into a customer conversation to help win the deal.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration. You can build effective partnerships with Solutions, Production, and senior leaders.
  • Clear communication. You can confidently present the commercial picture at leadership level and translate strategy into practical direction for your team.
  • A builder’s mentality. You want the opportunity to shape a commercial function, influence the direction of a business, and build something you’re genuinely proud of.

Your Experience

Ideally, you’ll have experience:

  • Leading and developing a high-performing sales team, with experience managing both new business and account management activity, coaching individuals, and creating a culture of accountability, ambition, and continuous improvement.
  • Supporting a growing business or business unit, with the ability to operate in an evolving environment, build commercial structure and processes, and adapt the sales strategy as the business scales.
  • Owning and closing deals ranging from approximately £30k to £1m for the largest strategic accounts.
  • Managing complex, multi-stakeholder, and multi-month buying cycles.
  • Selling bespoke solutions designed around individual customer challenges rather than fixed, off-the-shelf products.
  • Leading an outcomes-led, consultative sales process that starts with the customer’s problem and builds towards the right solution.
  • Taking ownership of ambitious revenue or billing targets, with strong pipeline management, forecasting, and commercial planning skills.
  • Working cross-functionally with senior leaders and delivery teams to turn commercial opportunities into successful customer outcomes.
