Sales Manager / Business Development Manager – Engineering Services
Location: West Midlands (Field Based)
Salary: Competitive Basic + Uncapped Commission (base £45,000 with OTE £55,000–£60,000+) + benefits + car / car allowance
We're recruiting for an experienced Sales Manager / Business Development Manager to join a leading engineering business, driving the growth of preventative maintenance contracts and service solutions across an established customer base.
This is a consultative, field-based sales role focused on developing existing accounts, increasing service revenue and promoting the value of planned maintenance rather than competing on price.
The Role
- Develop and grow service contract revenue.
- Manage and develop existing customer accounts.
- Identify new opportunities within your territory.
- Deliver value-based sales solutions.
- Collaborate with internal engineering and service teams.
- Field-based role, typically 3 days per week visiting customers.

About You
- Proven experience in field sales, business development or account management.
- Engineering, manufacturing or maintenance industry background.
- Experience selling service contracts or engineering solutions is desirable.
- Knowledge of adhesive joining, fastening or riveting technologies would be an advantage.
- Strong communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
- Commercially driven with a blend of account management ("farmer") and business development ("hunter") skills.

Travel
- Territory primarily covering the Midlands and Central UK, with occasional travel across the UK and Ireland.
- Overnight stays when required.
- Willingness to travel to Germany for product training.
Package
- Competitive basic salary.
