Sales Manager (Cable Sector / Technical Nonwovens)
Location: Croydon Salary: £50,000 base + performance-related bonus + benefits Position Type: Full-time, Permanent
About the Role
We manufacture high-quality, technically specified nonwoven materials utilized by top-tier global manufacturers of high-voltage, offshore, and subsea cables.
We are looking for an autonomous, high-energy Sales Manager to own and expand our international "Cable" segment. Based out of our Croydon office, this is a standalone individual contributor role reporting directly to the Director. You will have full autonomy to hunt new business, manage strategic global accounts, and drive international supply chain partnerships.
The Mission (Key Responsibilities)
- Technical Product Specifications: Lead detailed, technical product specification conversations with customers. You must be comfortable translating complex engineering requirements into bespoke material solutions.
- Account Management & Hunting: Map out international OEMs and industrial cable manufacturers to identify new market potential and build long-term commercial relationships.
- Commercial Execution: Lead high-level commercial and technical negotiations, managing the pipeline from initial pitch through to final contracts and pricing strategies.
- Strategic Growth: Design and execute the annual sales plan to expand our global market share in the cable sector.

What You Bring to the Table
- Industry Experience: A background in technical nonwovens or the cable sector is essential. You must understand the industrial cable manufacturing market (high-voltage, subsea, offshore, etc.).
- Technical Dialogue: The ability to confidently hold technical and engineering-focused discussions with client product developers and engineers.
- Track Record: Proven experience in international technical sales or business development for industrial products.
- Entrepreneurial Spirit: As an individual contributor, you must be a self-starter who thrives on autonomy, manages your own pipeline, and does not require day-to-day hand-holding.
- Communication: Flawless English communication skills with the confidence to negotiate with global stakeholders.
