Sales Manager – Heating and Refrigeration Compression Technologies

Location: Flexible – UK-based (any office) or work from home


About the Role

GEA Refrigeration (UK) Limited is a leading provider of industrial heating and refrigeration technologies, serving the Cold Storage, Process, Food, Beverage, HVAC and District Heating markets.

Our Compression Technologies division manufactures high-efficiency industrial refrigeration compressors, chillers, heat pumps, and service solutions, using environmentally friendly natural refrigerants—many of which are market leaders in energy efficiency.

We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to join our team, focusing on growth, relationship building, and driving sales across our French hiding below framework. You’ll be responsible for developing accounts with third-party contractors, consultants, and new clients, while supporting our European Technology Centres as needed.


Responsibilities

As Sales Manager – Compression Technologies, your key responsibilities include:

  • Building and maintaining robust relationships with national and international customers.
  • Executive-level engagement with decision-makers to nurture long-term partnerships.
  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to drive revenue growth.
  • Technical and commercial evaluation of client needs, proposing tailored solutions.
  • Preparing and managing technically sound, commercially robust proposals throughout the sales cycle.
  • Delivering persuasive negotiations and technical presentations at client engagements.
  • CRM Management – Accurately tracking leads, opportunities, and customer interactions.
  • Travel Responsibilities:
    • National travel throughout the South of the UK as required.
    • Sessional travel to our European Technology Centres (Germany & Netherlands).
  • Diary management and scheduling, ensuring efficient use of time.
  • Collaborating with sales teams, cross-functional stakeholders, and partners to enhance business opportunities.

Requirements & Ideal Profile

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in field sales of technical or engineered products.
  • Essential experience in the following sectors:
    • Refrigeration industry
    • HVAC sector
  • Highly advantageous if you have:
    • Experience selling chillers/hydraulic pumps.
  • Strong aptitude for:
    • Sales, negotiation, and business development.
    • Client-focused relationship building.
    • Technical presentations and customer needs analysis.
    • Budget and CRM software management.
  • Proficient in:
    • Microsoft Office 365 (Excellent).
    • Commercial proposal writing.
  • Full UK driving licence required.
