General Sales Manager

£45,000 Basic Salary | OTE £60,000 | Company Car | Excellent Benefits

Are you an experienced automotive Sales Manager ready to take the next step in your leadership career?

Vertu Volvo Yeovil is looking for a driven and inspirational General Sales Manager to lead our successful sales team. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the UK's leading motor retailers, representing a prestigious brand while playing a key role in driving performance, customer satisfaction and business growth.

As General Sales Manager, you will lead by example, creating a high-performing culture that motivates your team to achieve exceptional results. You'll oversee the sales operation across new and used vehicles, finance and associated products, ensuring every customer receives an outstanding experience from enquiry through to delivery.

About The Role

Working closely with your team of Business Managers, Sales Executives and support colleagues, you will:

  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing sales team
  • Drive profitable growth across new and used vehicle sales
  • Maximise finance and value-added product opportunities
  • Ensure a first-class customer journey and exceptional levels of customer satisfaction
  • Manage and deliver successful sales campaigns and promotions
  • Monitor performance, identify opportunities and implement action plans to exceed targets
  • Maintain the highest standards of operational compliance and ethical selling

About You

We are looking for a proven automotive sales leader who combines commercial focus with outstanding people management skills.

You Will Be Able To Demonstrate

  • A successful track record of delivering strong sales and profit performance within the motor industry
  • Experience leading, motivating and developing successful sales teams
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to drive operating efficiency
  • Excellent communication, coaching and organisational skills
  • A customer-first approach and commitment to delivering an exceptional experience
  • The ability to inspire those around you and create a positive, results-driven culture
