The Venue: Olympia Events
Olympia Events is a landmark venue across seven grand Victorian-inspired spaces, renowned for its exceptional customer service, design, and industry-leading awards. Beyond operations, Olympia invests in people, communities, and sustainability, continually striving to exceed expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Secure high-value conference and event sales aligned with Olympia’s strategic launch plan and revenue goals.
- Drive market awareness of all guest experiences and execute strategies as directed by the Head of Sales – ICC.
- Provide day-to-day leadership to two sales executives, ensuring:
- Effective workload management
- Achievement of individual and team performance targets
- Collaborate on delegation and prioritisation of sales enquiries, proposals, and client communications across the team for timely and efficient responses.
- Contribute to the launch phase of the International Convention Centre.
- Cultivate key client relationships across UK and international markets, including:
- Corporate clients
- Consumer-facing organisations
- Event agencies and associations
- Develop retain relationships to encourage repeat business.
- Repurpose and create sales assets including:
- Brochures
- Presentations
- Case studies
- Pitch decks
- Close business agreements through expert negotiation and client engagement.
- Align sales efforts with Olympia’s broader venue partnerships, ensuring cohesive destination offerings.
- Represent the company at trade shows and industry events with professionalism.
- Exceed sales KPIs and revenue targets.

Requirements
Candidates must have:
- 3+ years’ experience in conference and event sales
- Proven record of delivering high-value value and high-profile event sales
- Strong on-target revenue performance, demonstrated through exceeding targets
- Experience executing successful sales strategies
- Current knowledge of trade industry trends externally and competitiveness
- Ability to manage complex internal/external stakeholder relationships
- Excellent written and verbal communication for crafting compelling sales messaging
- Strategic thinking and the ability to develop and implement actionable plans.
- Dependable team player that works well under pressure in fast-paced environments.
- Thorough organisation with attention to detail and ability to quickly diagnose and implement solutions.
- Confidence as a public speaker, capable of pitching diverse audiences.
