Primary Purpose: The Sales Manager will design and execute the growth strategy for Tapestry's franchise/distributor partnerships across Coach (India & South Africa) and Kate Spade (India, South Africa & Middle East). This role owns partner performance and brand standards across the region, drives growth within the existing partner base, both comparable business and selective new business development, and leads full financial planning, from OTB through to retail sell-through by door, while ensuring partners maintain healthy inventory and process discipline.
Reporting to the Senior Director, International, the Sales Manager partners closely with cross-functional teams to maintain an agile and customer-focused approach.
The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in International Sales to:
- Develop and execute growth strategies for Coach across India & South Africa, and for Kate Spade across India, South Africa & the Middle East
- Drive growth within the existing partner base by combining a focus on comparable business with selective new business development opportunities
- Build assortment strategies grounded in market opportunity and current business performance and strategy
- Build and strengthen relationships with existing accounts, identifying and executing opportunities to drive comparable business
- Raise and uphold brand standards across all partner touchpoints including retail environment, product presentation, and customer experience
- Ensure partners adhere to agreed processes, growth plans, and brand guidelines, and holding them accountable to shared commercial targets
- Own top and bottom-line financial planning, including seasonal and annual OTB and retail sales planning by door, with a strong focus on profitability
- Incorporate inventory and stock-on-hand analysis into all financial and assortment planning to ensure healthy sell-through and avoid over/under-stock positions
- Work with the Marketing team to build tailored plans for key partners which aligns to the overall regional strategy
- Lead cross-functional partners to drive operational execution and continuous process improvement
- Ensure four sales markets are executed per year and lead the team in assortment and commercial strategy planning
- Maintain a strong digital focus by staying current on e-commerce/omnichannel trends relevant to the regions
The Accomplished Individual Will Possess
- Expert knowledge of franchise/distributor business models
- Strong understanding of the commercial, operational, and market dynamics across India and the Middle East
- Proven expertise in assortment planning, OTB management, and retail financial planning
- Demonstrated people leadership experience, with a track record of developing and leading high-performing teams
- Exceptional relationship management skills, with the ability to build credibility and influence internal and external stakeholders
- A results-driven mindset, combining commercial acumen with a collaborative, team-oriented approach
- Flexibility to travel as required
- An agile and adaptable working style, with the ability to respond effectively to evolving business priorities
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable business recommendations
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the confidence to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation
