Battery Division Group – Automotive Vehicle Battery Division (TBO Department)

Your Responsibilities:

  • Drive new business development for BYD’s automotive battery business and achieve assigned sales and commercial targets within the designated market.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities while maintaining and strengthening relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
  • Provide market intelligence, industry insights, and competitor benchmarking to support business growth and strategic decision-making.
  • Support the development and execution of product launch plans and portfolio expansion strategies across the UK and European markets.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with local government bodies, industry associations, and key market stakeholders.
  • Develop quotation and pricing strategies to support successful commercial negotiations and secure project nominations.
  • Monitor and support the execution of commercial plans, sales initiatives, and marketing activities within the assigned region.
  • Lead commercial contract reviews, customer audits, factory qualification audits, and support high-level customer engagements and executive visits.
  • Coordinate and prepare key project milestones, launch events, and strategic customer meetings.
  • Monitor payment collection and project profitability, ensuring healthy financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Track customer satisfaction and ensure customer feedback is addressed promptly and effectively to maintain long-term partnerships and continuous improvement.

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience as a Sales Manager within the battery, energy storage, automotive, or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of commercial operations, sales management, and business development.
  • Solid financial and commercial acumen, with the ability to evaluate business opportunities and project profitability.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a strong commitment to delivering excellent customer experience.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong teamwork and stakeholder management capabilities in a multicultural and international environment.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and open-minded, with a results-driven approach.
  • Fluent in English; additional European language skills would be considered an advantage.
  • Proficient in CRM systems, commercial management software, and digital business tools.
