Sales Manager – Personal Care Ingredients

North West offices, but home based with travel to customers

Are you a commercially driven sales professional with experience in the personal care ingredients industry?

Blush & Bloom are partnering with a well-established international ingredients business that's looking to strengthen it’s commercial team with the appointment of a Sales Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to manage a portfolio of existing customers while identifying new growth opportunities across the UK.

Working from home with regular customer visits, you'll become a trusted technical and commercial partner to manufacturers, formulators and brand owners, helping them source innovative ingredient solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You'll take ownership of a customer portfolio while developing new business opportunities within the personal care market.
  • Developing long-term commercial relationships with cosmetic and personal care manufacturers.
  • Identifying new business opportunities and converting prospects into long-term customers.
  • Managing the full sales cycle, from initial meetings through to commercial negotiations and ongoing account development.
  • Delivering technical product presentations alongside supplier partners where appropriate.
  • Working closely with formulation, procurement and commercial teams to understand customer requirements and recommend suitable ingredient solutions.
  • Building strategic account plans to maximise revenue growth and customer retention.
  • Providing market intelligence and customer feedback to support portfolio development and future business strategy.
  • Collaborating with internal technical, customer service and supply chain teams to ensure excellent customer experience.
  • Representing the business at exhibitions, supplier meetings and industry networking events.
  • Maintaining accurate pipeline forecasting and CRM records.

  • Previous technical sales or business development experience within cosmetic or personal care ingredients.
  • A strong understanding of raw materials used within cosmetic formulations.
  • Experience selling into manufacturers, contract manufacturers or beauty brands.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
  • A commercial mindset with a proven ability to win new business and grow existing accounts.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and customer priorities simultaneously.
  • Confidence presenting technical products to both commercial and technical audiences.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the UK with occasional overseas travel.
