Major Events International (MEI) is a UK based consultancy specialising in the strategic delivery, attraction, and commercialisation of major sporting and cultural events. We work with governing bodies, host cities, and expert suppliers across Europe, MEA, and Asia to bring the industry together through our Summits, publications, and networking events.
We're looking for a Sales Manager to join our team in London. This is a great opportunity for someone with a proven sales background who is ready for a new challenge: connecting expert suppliers with the major sports events market and helping them see the value of being part of the MEI community.
About the Role
As Sales Manager, you'll take full ownership of the sales lifecycle for our Summits and networking events, from first outreach through to close and renewal. You'll work with an extensive CRM contacts database to identify and engage multi sector suppliers working across the world's most iconic global sports and outdoor events, building genuine relationships rather than one off transactions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
