Sales Manager - Quantum Solutions

Quantum Machines (QM) is the global leader in control systems for quantum computing, a field on the verge of exponential growth, bringing about opportunities like those made possible with the invention of classical computing 50 years ago. We are assembling the strongest team of professionals in the world with the goal of revolutionizing how quantum computers are built and accelerating their arrival. Quantum Machines is backed by top tier investors such as PSG Equity, Battery Ventures, TLV Partners, Red Dot Capital, and other leading funds. We are looking for a high-energy, technology-oriented Sales manager for the UK region, who can recognize opportunities, and turn leads into long-lasting relationships. The ideal candidate has a history of bringing on new business and exceeding sales quotas and loves the challenges that come with outbound prospecting in a competitive, fast-growing market. As a Sales Manager Quantum Solutions you will have direct and immediate impact on the company’s success by driving sales from end-to-end, owning and managing a significant cohort of customers and opportunities, and delivering the Quantum Machines vision and value proposition with the goal of capturing the market. Responsibilities: Meet and exceed annual bookings targets based on a geographically assigned territory, including the development of large, existing, strategic accounts and discovery of new prospect accounts Manage the entire sales cycle from initial lead to deal closing to repeat purchasing Create detailed business plans to facilitate the attainment of goals and quotas Be the spearhead of communicating our value proposition to potential customers in the academic and commercial sectors of the industry Uncover customer needs and ensure we provide the necessary products, tools and technical resources to help them achieve their ambitious goals and ensure our ongoing competitiveness Coordinate with various internal teams on complex customer tenders, bids, and other agreements Leverage go-to-market resources (i.e. solution physicists, marketing, professional material, evaluation program, etc.) effectively and efficiently to maximize customer satisfaction and repeat business Maintain an accurate and up to date view of all leads and opportunities under your ownership; provide reports as needed

Requirements: 10+ years proven experience as a successful, growth-oriented salesperson with emphasis in new business expansion Excellent communication and presentation skills in English Background in physics and or electrical engineering, understanding of quantum computing Willingness to travel to customers and prospects on a regular basis Knowledge and experience in market research, sales cycle management and negotiations Ability to build relationships of trust Organizational and time-management skills; High level of independence Strong knowledge of MS Office; knowledge of CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)

Preferred Skills:

Experience in Hardware sales and in selling to academia and research labs is a strong advantage
