Sales Manager
An Exciting Opportunity to Drive Significant Commercial Growth
Kents Cavern is one of the UK’s most extraordinary prehistoric attractions — a world-famous natural cave system with a rich heritage, incredible visitor experience, and huge untapped commercial opportunity.
We are looking for an ambitious, highly driven, commercially focused Sales Manager to lead and significantly grow our Groups, Schools and Coach business.
This is a high-impact sales role for someone who thrives on building pipelines, developing partnerships, opening doors, and delivering results.
You will be laser focused on increasing visitor volume, driving revenue growth, and positioning Kents Cavern as a must-visit destination for educational visits, coach operators, tour groups and organised travel.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants ownership, visibility, and the chance to make a genuine commercial impact within a growing visitor attraction business.
The Role
As Sales Manager, you will own and drive all sales activity across:
Schools and educational visits Coach operators and group travel Tour operators Group bookings Travel trade partnerships Private group experiences
Your Focus Will Be Clear
Generate high-volume visitor growth Increase bookings and revenue Build strong long-term partnerships Create proactive sales pipelines Deliver and exceed commercial targets
You will spend your time identifying opportunities, building relationships, converting leads, and ensuring Kents Cavern is front of mind within the education and group travel sectors.

Key Responsibilities
Drive Sales Growth
Deliver ambitious sales targets and revenue budgets across schools, groups and coaches. Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities. Build strong relationships with coach operators, schools, educational organisations and group travel partners. Develop repeat business through excellent relationship management and follow-up activity. Increase visitor numbers through strategic outreach and targeted sales activity.
Own the Pipeline
Create and manage a robust sales pipeline with clear actions, priorities and conversion tracking. Ensure all opportunities are followed up quickly and professionally. Monitor performance and proactively identify risks, gaps and opportunities. Use data and reporting to drive improvements and maximise conversion.
Commercial Delivery
Prepare compelling proposals, quotations and group packages. Maximise revenue opportunities across all group and educational bookings. Work closely with operational teams to ensure the visitor experience supports commercial growth. Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure campaigns align with group and schools objectives.
External Engagement
Represent Kents Cavern confidently within the tourism, education and travel sectors. Attend networking events, trade events and industry meetings where appropriate. Build awareness of Kents Cavern as a leading destination for educational and group experiences.

What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is:
Highly motivated and target driven Commercially sharp and ambitious Confident building relationships and winning business Organised, proactive and energetic Passionate about driving visitor growth Skilled at pipeline management and conversion Comfortable working at pace and delivering results A strong communicator with excellent negotiation skills
Most importantly, you must be someone who genuinely enjoys sales, thrives on achieving targets, and wants to make a measurable impact.
