Role Description
The Sales Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Coventry. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, managing a sales pipeline, and building strong, long-term relationships with clients in the construction sector. The Sales Manager will collaborate closely with delivery and operations teams to align client needs with The OM Group’s offerings and ensure a smooth handover from sale to delivery. The role also includes:
- Monitoring market trends
- Contributing to sales strategy
- Reporting on performance
- Representing the company at industry events and meetings
Qualifications
- Proven experience in B2B sales or account management, preferably within construction, training, or professional services.
- Strong consultative selling skills, including needs analysis, solution-focused presentations, and contract negotiation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Solid organizational and time-management abilities, including pipeline management, accurate forecasting, and use of CRM tools.
- Understanding of the construction industry, health and safety, or regulatory environments (e.g., Building Safety Act) is highly beneficial.
- Comfort working on-site in Coventry, with flexibility to travel to client locations and industry events as required.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal training, operations, and leadership teams to deliver coherent solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
