Sales Manager – Fairmont St Andrews

Fairmont St Andrews encapsulates luxury and this experience begins and ends with our colleagues. Fairmont St Andrews is one of Scotland’s most iconic 5-star luxury hotels and resorts in the home of golf.

Our 213-bedroom property is located on the outskirts of St Andrews, boasting two championship golf courses and an award-winning spa and leisure facility. With multiple food and beverage venues, including our two AA Rosette Restaurant (St Andrews Clubhouse & Grill, serving the finest Scottish steak and seafood), we offer world-class dining and leisure activities on-site.

Within 20 minutes of Leuchars Railway Station and 35 minutes from Dundee, we provide an accessible base for guests visiting Scotland.


Job Description

Fairmont St Andrews are seeking a passionate Sales Manager to join their award-winning team and lead the MICE market across a designated territory. This is an opportunity to showcase Scotland’s most iconic destination while making a significant impact on our group revenue goals.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Hunt and close new business:
    • Prospect, pitch, and convert leads through face-to-face meetings, events, and trade shows.
  • Grow key accounts:
    • Maximise value from existing clients and cultivate long-term loyalty.
  • Be our brand ambassador:
    • Represent Fairmont St Andrews across the UK and internationally through sales missions, industry events, and client visits.
  • Collaborate for success:
    • Work closely with Accor Global Sales, tourist boards, and partners to drive demand.
  • Own your market:
    • Develop and execute strategic plans to boost bookings, revenue, and brand visibility.

What You Bring

  • Proven success in proactive B2B sales, preferably in the MICE or hospitality space.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with a passion for closing deals.
  • Ability to travel internationally and represent a world-class brand with confidence.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of proactive B2B sales experience in MICE, hospitality, or luxury travel.
  • A strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience with global hotel brands or conference venues is a major advantage.
  • Hands-on experience in high-value MICE markets (UK, Europe, or international) is beneficial.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in CRM systems, preferably Opera Sales & Catering.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (for forecasts) and PowerPoint (for presentations).
  • Knowledge of sales pipeline management, forecasting, and market segmentation.
