About the Role
The ideal candidate will build and deliver the UK sales strategy to drive business growth, brand expansion, and profitable scaling through wholesale, market penetration, and team leadership. You will shape TOMS’s future in the UK while aligning with broader EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) strategic goals.
This role requires a self-motivated, results-driven leader with deep experience in branded footwear & fashion wholesale, customer relationship management, and account development. You will own revenue growth, sales execution, and team performance, collaborating closely with marketing, product, and key stakeholders to maximize market potential.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Market Growth
- Define and execute a UK Sales Strategy aligned with EMEA-wide direction, ensuring brand growth and profitability.
- Lead the UK Annual Sales Plan, translating regional strategy into actionable, revenue-driving initiatives.
- Drive adoption of Focus Lines and develop a UK-specific product segmentation strategy tailored to market demands.
- Identify and capitalise on new business opportunities—both domestically and internationally—through rigorous market analysis.
Sales Execution & Budget Management
- Lead the UK sales team to meet and exceed annual budgets, ensuring disciplined financial forecasting and resource allocation.
- Regularly review monthly/quarterly shipment budgets and adjust strategies to optimise sales performance.
- Work closely with Account Management to achieve stretching targets and improve wholesale performance via data-driven insights.
Team Leadership & Development
- Head the UK sales team, setting clear objectives, supporting performance development, and fostering a high-performing culture.
- Attract, develop, and retain top talent in the market, ensuring the team is equipped to deliver against ambitious goals.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and mentorship to drive continuous improvement.

Brand & Market Enablement
- Strengthen wholesale partnerships by increasing brand awareness and demand through strategic selling.
- Collaborate with Marketing to design locally relevant campaigns and ensure alignment between country-specific goals and global initiatives.
- Present and deliver the Quarterly UK Business Review to senior leadership.
- Represent TOMS at UK trade shows, launches, and industry events.
Operational Responsibilities
- Manage the UK Office/Showroom, ensuring logistics, customer support, and stock management are optimised.
- Develop, forecast and monitor customer account growth, including Key Accounts management where necessary.
- Nurture entrepreneurial relationships with customers to create long-term value.
What You Bring
Essential Qualifications
- 5–7+ years of management experience in a commercial trade or wholesale sales role, preferably in branded fashion or footwear.
- Deep knowledge of the UK wholesale market, including trends, competition, and customer dynamics.
- Proven track record of building profitable business strategies in fast-paced environments.
- Experience in sales forecasting, revenue growth, and account development with a results-driven orientation.
- Strong analytical skills to audit competitive landscapes and identify growth opportunities.

- Strategic Thinker: Ability to develop long-term plans that align with business goals, adapt to market changes, and drive sustainable growth.
- Leading & Managing Performance: Expertise in human resources, coaching, and motivational leadership to deliver high-performance teams.

- Stakeholder Management: Skilled at fostering strong relationships within and outside the organisation (e.g., Marketing, Product, Supply Chain, Customers).
- Project & Workload Management: Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and execute under pressure.
- Technical Proficiency: Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for reporting and strategic planning.
