UK Director of Sales

About The Role
The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and delivering the UK sales strategy to drive our growth ambition through a holistic approach—sell in and sell through—while increasing profitability and ensuring optimal results within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and deliver UK Sales strategy aligned with broader EMEA strategy, shaping the TOMS brand for future growth
- Lead UK Sales annual plan, translating EMEA strategic direction to maximize market potential
- Drive strategic sales execution to deliver annual budget through comprehensive UK merchant and wholesale strategy
- Implement EMEA strategic goals in the UK, including focused product segments and target customer hauls
- Lead the country’s sales team, ensuring clear communication of targets, objectives, and growth goals
- Attract, develop, and retain top talent in the UK market, fostering high performance
- Monitor and support team performance, providing regular coaching and feedback for growth
- Boost wholesale performance via market analysis, identifying key sales drivers, and setting stretch targets
- Develop a data-driven approach to account management, forecasting, and sales strategy
- Identify new business opportunities with existing and potential customers, evaluating market risks and growth potential
- Manage strategic Key Accounts where applicable
- Strategise and execute GTM strategies for peak selling seasons, including shipment budgeting
- Ensure monthly/quarterly shipping and budget alignment with business plans
- Collaborate with Marketing to align UK campaigns, boost sales, and strengthen customer engagement
- Facilitate a quarterly UK business review, ensuring ROI and sustained market growth
- Oversee UK office/showroom management
- Attend sales launches and major trade shows

What You Bring
- Provide inspirational leadership to direct reports and drive an efficient, professional culture
- Build strong cross-functional relationships with Credit, Customer Service, Marketing, and Product teams
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of the UK wholesale market, footwear trends, and retail customer preferences
- Proven experience in branded wholesale sales, particularly in fashion and footwear (critical)
- Ability to develop a detailed strategic plan with data-backed insights
- Strong competitive market analysis and auditing skills
- A versatile, growth-minded self-starter who identifies market penetration opportunities
- Exceptional stakeholder relationship management with Key Accounts
- Managerial experience—develop, lead, and engage high-performing teams under pressure
- Strategic + analytical thinker with project management and problem-solving skills
- Results-driven judger who can make sound business decisions under tight deadlines
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong negotiating and commercial acumen

Requirements
- Minimum 5–7 years of commercial management experience, with a track record in wholesale sales (especially fashion/footwear preferential)
- Willingness to thrive in a fast-paced international environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Intermediate knowledge of sales forecasting tools and CRM systems
