Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Sales Manager role based in Colchester. The Sales Manager will oversee their own sales performance, and drive new business development while maintaining strong relationships with existing customers. Daily responsibilities include:

The Sales Manager will collaborate with branch leadership to align sales plans with wider business objectives and maintain an efficient, safe, and inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in sales management, account management, or business development, ideally within electrical wholesale, construction supplies, or a related industry.
  • Excellent customer relationship and communication skills, with the ability to negotiate, handle queries, and build long-term partnerships.
  • Solid commercial awareness and numerical skills to manage targets, margins, and branch performance reports.
  • Competence in using sales and office software (e.g., CRM systems, MS Office) and willingness to learn company-specific systems.
  • Valid UK driving licence and flexibility to visit customers and support local business development activities.
  • Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in sales, business, or a related field; knowledge of electrical products is an advantage.
