Sales & Marketing Manager
Onboarding You To The Company
The Sales & Marketing Coordinator operates within the Sales department and acts as a key interface between Nexans and its customers across both the Grid and Connect verticals.
The role combines proactive sales development, account management and marketing support to ensure that customers – both direct and via the distribution network – receive excellent service, accurate information, and high-quality products.

This position manages relationships with existing customers and actively targets new ones. An existing, complementary network within the sector is advantageous, as is the ability to create and maintain effective marketing channels and materials to support Nexans’ mission and growth ambitions.
Getting a Flying Start
Account development and new sales generation;
Maximise existing sales through proactive relationship management (office-based and on-site customer visits). Drive new sales through the qualification and targeting of both inbound and outbound sales opportunities. Meet agreed targets for the development of both existing and new business. Sales administration and order management; Ensure a smooth administrative process so that orders are processed accurately, swiftly and efficiently expedited through to delivery. Keep all internal and external stakeholders updated throughout the process. Build and maintain strong internal relationships with Customers, Suppliers and colleagues, working closely with Supply Chain on accurate forecasting and demand planning

Marketing and brand development;
Work in partnership with the BU Marketing & Communication Manager to create, update and maintain a portfolio of marketing collateral, including brochures, handouts, case studies and product catalogues, aligned to customer needs and market positioning. Support the development and execution of marketing initiatives that promote Nexans UK products and solutions within the Grid and Connect segments.
How You Make An Impact
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Sales Management or closely related commercial role. Direct relevant industry experience, ideally within cable, electrical distribution, utilities, or a closely related technical/industrial environment. Ability and willingness to travel with geographical flexibility within the UK and occasionally abroad as required. Demonstrable business acumen with a proven track record of delivering profitable sales growth. Proven results in implementing sales strategies and developing customer business (new and existing). Experience of working with large multinational organisations, demonstrating autonomy and the ability to navigate matrix structures. Strong experience with CRM and ERP systems for sales pipeline management, forecasting and order administration.

Commercial skills: Strong understanding of pricing, margin management and commercial levers. Analytical skills: Ability to interpret data and reports to drive decision-making and improve performance. Reporting & forecasting: Competent in sales reporting, forecasting and performance tracking. Sales & market focus: Strong customer orientation with a focus on market trends, competitor activity and customer needs. Project management: Ability to support with tenders, projects and initiatives Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication; able to engage credibly with customers and internal stakeholders at all levels. Ownership & accountability: Takes responsibility for outcomes, follows through on commitments and works with autonomy. Customer & business development: Proven ability to nurture long-term relationships and open new accounts.
