Sales Office Manager
Sales Office Manager – Packaging Distribution
Location: Tilehurst, Reading
Location & Package
- Salary: Basic salary up to £40,000 (dependent on experience) plus bonus/OTE and flexible benefits package
- Holidays: Up to 27 days (plus additional annual leave purchasing scheme)
- Hours: Full time (37.5 hours per week), Monday to Friday
- Sector: Packaging Distribution

As a Sales Office Manager, you will play a key role in:

Responsibilities
The Sales Office Manager will:
- Lead, develop, and motivate a team of internal sales professionals
- Drive sales growth across existing accounts
- Maximise quotation conversion
- Identify new opportunities and ensure the team meets agreed targets
- Work closely with external sales executives, operations, and logistics teams
- Foster a high-performance culture centred on:
- Customer satisfaction
- Profitability
- Continuous improvement

Requirements
We welcome applications from commercially minded sales leaders with experience in fast-paced environments like sales, distribution, merchanting, or wholesale.
Essential Skills & Experience
You will ideally bring:
- Experience leading, coaching, or developing an internal sales or customer service team (e.g., transitioning from a team leader/supervisor role)
- A strong grasp of sales office operations, including:
- Customer account management
- Commercial decision-making
- Objective setting and performance monitoring
- The ability to motivate teams to achieve goals in:
- Sales targets
- Margin objectives
- Service excellence
- A proven track record of:
- Building strong customer relationships
- Identifying ways to grow account spend
- Handling customer escalations with professionalism
- Experience working alongside field-based sales colleagues
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to balance customer needs with profitability
- Exemplary communication, organisation, and people management skills
- Proficient IT capability, including:
- CRM systems
- Microsoft Office applications

- Knowledge or experience in the packaging sector
