Sales Administrator/ Sales Operations Coordinator
Location: Office based in Leicester with occasional travel to meetings with colleagues UK wide is expected.
Job Type: Full-Time (40 hours)
Reporting to: Sales Director – Infrastructure Division
Salary: £32,000 – £35,000
Job Summary
We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Sales Administrator to support our sales and business development activities. This role is central to ensuring that data on our client relationship management (CRM) system is accurately maintained and the sales team are supported with sales operations, reporting, proposal coordination, and client data management. You will play a key part in helping the business identify and win work through effective sales process support.
Key Responsibilities
- CRM System Management
- Update and maintain the company’s CRM data, becoming an expert user who can support and upskill others.
- Ensure data integrity by updating customer records, contacts, opportunities, estimates, and activity logs.
- Monitor and report on sales pipeline activity, performance metrics, and lead progression.

Sales & Business Development Support
- Support the sales and BD teams with coordination of leads, proposals, and bids.
- Track key framework opportunities, tenders, and client engagement actions.
- Prepare and distribute regular sales reports and dashboards.
- Help maintain action logs from sales meetings and follow up with internal stakeholders.
- Management of MDM requests – obtaining required information (e.g. customer number, VAT number etc.) and liaising with Master Data Management (MDM) team to obtain resolution.

Proposal & Marketing Coordination
- Assist in assembling capability statements, project profiles, case studies, and CVs for proposals.
- Maintain a library of sales collateral, templates, and case studies.

Required Skills
- Familiarity with procurement portals (e.g., Contracts Finder, Jaggaer, etc.).
- Experience supporting bids or proposals in technical sectors.
- Basic understanding of sales funnels, KPIs, and pipeline reporting.
Desired Experience
- Proven experience in a sales support, business development admin, or CRM role.
- Proficient in using CRM systems (ideally Oracle NetSuite) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Experience in a professional services, engineering, or consultancy environment preferred.
- Excellent organisational, administrative, and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Comfortable working with data, producing reports, and managing deadlines.
