Join our Sales Operations team and play a key role in supporting business growth. Working closely with the sales organisation, you'll help drive strategic initiatives, improve sales processes, and maximise the effectiveness of tools and systems that enable our teams to succeed.

This role is initially based full-time (5 days a week) in our office. Following a 3-month performance review, there will be an opportunity to transition to a hybrid working arrangement.
The Sales Operation team’s primary purpose is to work collaboratively with the sales organisation to help drive strategic business planning and growth initiatives through the design of sales processes, and leveraging of sales productivity tools.
This role will support the Sales team by providing operational support for an assigned customer base of scale on trade national & off trade customers.
The Sales Operations Executive will have a key role in driving the development, testing, and roll out of sales productivity tools to the sales teams, working closely with the teams to identify opportunities to improve productivity and time in front of trade. This role will play a key part in the management and resolution of sales & customer related issues – working closely with the sales team to identify issues and rectify by working cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, and IT – escalating where required to the Sales Operations Manager.

- Assist with lead generation, pipeline management, and support new business onboarding through account set up & go live.
- Assist in the management & collation of customer specific tenders and commercial proposals, creating customer specific contracts and investment administration.
- Provide operational support & point of contact assistance with key scale customers, in line with the defined account support matrix.
- Management of customer specific portals.
- Help to deliver targeted sales activities in line with channel & segment strategies such as promotional lists and sales incentives.
- Assist in the development and roll out of sales tools and platforms, to improve sales team efficiency and commercial effectiveness.
- Provide support to the sales team through the management of stock allocations & limited release products.
- For customers utilising Ex-Cellar & Direct RTM to act as a liaison between supplier and customer & haulier in conjunction with the Demand Planning function.
Sales Administration
- Provide a range of administrative support to the field sales teams to help in the achievement of channel objectives, including but exclusively: Management of inbound sales team queries through the SO inbox.
- Customer specific operational requests in line with the account support matrix including order status.
- Stock control support & analysis for key customers including the tracking of sales out, promotional activities, and monitoring customer level forecasts.
- Assist in the creation of cascade documents / training materials and performance review metrics.
- Deal with all sales manager queries and escalate as required within both the immediate team and wider business.

What We’re Looking For:
Qualifications & Training
- Essential: A solid educational background (minimum GCSE English & Maths).
- Desirable: Educated to degree level, or holds a WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) qualification.
Knowledge & Experience
- Essential: A strong background in customer service, sales, or account management, alongside experience working closely with diverse groups of people.
- Desirable: Prior experience working in the wine or a related industry.
Skills & Abilities
- Essential:
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong numeracy, accuracy, and sharp attention to detail.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office and hands-on CRM experience.
- Ability to seamlessly engage with team members, customers, management, and sales teams.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to deliver reports that drive strategic decisions.
- Desirable: Experience utilising the Navision system.
