Sales Operations Manager
Location: UK (Hybrid) – Regular travel to London
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Sales Operations Manager to join our growing software business and partner closely with our Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). This is a highly visible role that will drive sales performance, improve operational efficiency, and support strategic decision-making across the commercial function.
Your key responsibility will be to maintain and optimise day-to-day sales operations, ensuring the sales team has accurate data, effective reporting, and streamlined processes to maximise revenue. Working directly with the CRO, you’ll lead deal reviews, manage Salesforce, generate commercial insights, and shape the future of our sales organisation.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys blending data, systems, and commercial thinking within a fast-paced SaaS environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the CRO to support sales strategy and operational execution.
- Lead weekly pipeline and deal review meetings, ensuring opportunities progress effectively.
- Own and optimise Salesforce, ensuring data quality, reporting accuracy, and user adoption.
- Produce dashboards and reports on:
- Sales performance
- Forecasting
- Pipeline health
- KPIs
- Support sales forecasting and revenue planning.
- Identify risks within the sales pipeline and provide actionable recommendations to improve conversion rates.
- Analyse sales performance and present insights to senior leadership.
- Improve sales processes, workflows, and operational efficiency across the commercial team.
- Support pricing approvals, commercial governance, and deal structuring where necessary.
- Collaborate closely with Finance, Customer Success, and Marketing to ensure revenue alignment.
- Deliver training and guidance on Salesforce best practices and commercial processes.
- Maintain accurate sales documentation, reporting, and operational procedures.

About You
You are a commercially minded, analytical professional comfortable working with senior stakeholders. You thrive on improving processes and using data to inform business decisions.
- Experience in a software or SaaS business and an understanding of sales organisations.
- Strong appreciation for data-driven decision-making and revenue growth.
Essential Experience
- Previous experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, or Commercial Operations.
- Proven experience in software or SaaS organisations.
- Advanced Salesforce CRM skills (essential).
- Experience supporting senior commercial leadership (e.g., CRO, Sales Director, or VP of Sales).
- Strong background in producing sales reports, dashboards, and forecasts.
- Expertise in orchestrating pipeline reviews and deal review meetings.
- Exceptional analytical and data interpretation skills.
- Proficient in Excel and robust reporting tools.
- History of improving sales processes and workflows.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.

Desirable
- Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Familiarity with sales engagement or revenue technology platforms.
- Knowledge of SaaS metrics, including:
- ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue)
- MRR (Monthly Recurring Revenue)
- Churn (customer loss rate)
- Pipeline Coverage (forecast vs. pipeline)
- Win Rate (deals secured)
- Sales Velocity (cycle time)
- Experience in a high-growth technology business.
