About VPG

VPG has a long history of innovation, specifically in precision foil resistors and foil strain gauges. This served as a foundation to expand into strain gauge instrumentation, load cells, transducers, weighing modules and complete systems for process control and on-board vehicle weighing.

VPG has facilities and operations in 13 countries, with more than 30 sites and over 2700 colleagues across the globe we recognise it is our talented people that are key in ensuring we successfully achieve our business aims.

We have a vacancy for a Customer Service Representative to play a key role in supporting our customers and providing the highest level of service possible.

Here at VPG we recognise the value of having a diverse workforce and welcome all candidates, however we are unable to offer Visa sponsorship for this role at present.

The Role

The successful candidate will work as part of a team in supporting the activities of the Service department by offering day-to-day support to the customers and internal departments, booking in jobs for the engineers and liaising with the customers and ordering parts for engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answering and responding to phone calls from customers.
  • Entering, Acknowledging, Expediting, customer expectations for the work carried out by service engineers.
  • Where necessary, obtaining purchase order numbers from customers.
  • Entering the information provided by the customer to the engineers work calendar and internal system.
  • Filing and general departmental administration duties.
  • Producing reports and other documents as deemed necessary.
  • To undertake within reason any other task within the department at the request of a Supervisor, Manager or Director.
  • Assist any queries the engineers may require answering.

Requirements

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following skills and experience:

  • Educated to high school level or above.
  • Team player with ability to prioritise.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Computer literate with good knowledge of MS packages.
  • Customer service experience.
