Short video from Founder Rob on the Tempo story: https://www.loom.com/share/4e4119f82c594c98a659982af3ab5e8c Short video covering the Sales & Partnerships Executive role: https://www.loom.com/share/71746950772a4efcbea2438f342d1958

Tempo is a high-growth tech-services company simplifying the information security audit experience for startups and early-stage tech companies.

We help companies navigate audits and certifications including ISO 27001, ISO 42001, SOC 2 and related compliance frameworks.

The traditional audit market is often slow-moving, old-school and not built around how modern tech companies work. Tempo was started in 2024 by founder and CEO, Rob, to make the audit process clearer, faster and more human for modern companies

We're bootstrapped, profitable and growing quickly. We're now a team of 7 (17 if you include our contract auditors), we’ve recently passed 300 clients, and demand is continuing to accelerate.

The role

Until now, our founder has managed almost all of Tempo’s sales process directly. That's worked well, but as Tempo grows, it’s time to give sales the focus it deserves.

We’re making our first dedicated sales hire. This is a chance to join at a stage where your impact will be obvious. The decisions you make, the customers you win and the relationships you build will genuinely help shape the next chapter of the business.

This is a hands-on sales role focused primarily on converting warm inbound and partner-referred demand. It's not a traditional account management role, and it's not a pure cold outbound role.

Prospects already have a clear reason to speak to us. They may need an audit because a customer, procurement team or partner has asked for it. Your job is to help them understand the process, build confidence in Tempo, and guide them towards the right decision.

You’ll run sales calls, follow up properly, keep momentum in the pipeline, and help good-fit companies become Tempo customers. You'll own opportunities from first conversation through to activation.

Over time, there will also be scope to explore new routes to growth, including outbound, partnerships and relationships with platforms or consultants who refer companies to us. But the immediate priority is to handle existing demand brilliantly.

What you’ll do

  • Speak with inbound and partner-referred prospects.
  • Run discovery calls and understand customer requirements.
  • Explain Tempo's process and certification pathways clearly.
  • Build trust with founders, operators and compliance stakeholders.
  • Become a bona-fide expert in information security audits
  • Manage follow-up, pipeline and CRM hygiene.
  • Work with the team to improve sales messaging and conversion.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What we’re looking for

We care more about communication quality, judgement and ownership than a perfect CV.

You're a strong fit if you are:

  • A brilliant communicator: warm, clear, confident and credible.
  • Good at explaining complex concepts in plain English.
  • Highly organised and disciplined with follow-up.
  • Able to manage yourself well in a remote-first environment.
  • Curious, helpful and quick to learn.
  • Comfortable in a fast-moving environment and excited by the opportunity to help build something growing quickly.
  • Motivated by closing business and helping the company grow.

Required experience

  • At least 2 years’ experience in sales, business development, account executive, sales executive or another commercially focused role.
  • Experience using a CRM and managing follow-up with prospects or customers.
  • Confident running sales conversations and moving opportunities towards a decision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Strong organisation, ownership and follow-through.

You don't need to be an audit expert on day one. You do need to be willing to learn the space properly and become fluent enough to guide customers with confidence.

Experience in information security, compliance, ISO 27001, ISO 42001, SOC 2 or audit services would be an advantage, but it is not essential. Experience selling services, advisory work or other trust-led products would also be useful.

What great looks like

Within six months, you'll be confidently owning most inbound and partner-referred sales conversations, managing opportunities from first conversation through to activation, and helping us build a more repeatable sales process.

Compensation

Competitive base salary plus commission, dependent on experience. Meaningful upside for strong conversion and directly self-sourced business.

We're not looking for a polished production. A simple webcam or phone recording is absolutely fine. We're interested in how you communicate and why you're excited about the opportunity.

Applications without a video submission will not be considered.

Please attach the link to your video introduction within your application. If you're unable to submit a video for any reason, please get in touch, and we'll work something out.

Step 2: Team interview

An informal conversation to get to know each other better, learn more about your experience, and give you the opportunity to ask questions about Tempo, the role and the team.

Step 3: Final interview + practical exercise

A final conversation with the founder and wider team, including a short practical exercise designed to reflect some of the communication and problem-solving skills used in the role.

This will take place in our Gather virtual office, giving you the chance to meet the team and get a feel for how we work day-to-day.

What we offer

  • Remote work: 100% remote work, with a virtual office in Gather.
  • Competitive salary: Base salary of £35k - £40k plus performance-based commission with realistic OTE of £55k - £70k.
  • Home office budget: Budget to help you get set up properly for remote work.
  • Holidays: 25 days’ holiday, plus local public holidays.
  • Annual Retreat: Annual retreat to build connections and inspire ideas
  • Company Events: Company-wide events to build relationships and have some fun!
  • Ownership: The chance to take ownership of a critical area in a fast-growing business.
  • Expertise: The opportunity to become an expert in a technical, growing market.
  • Growth path: A role with room to grow into partnerships, outbound, broader commercial ownership or future sales leadership.

Why join now?

On paper, information security audits might not sound like the most exciting industry.

But the market is moving quickly, demand is real, and the existing providers are often slow, confusing and not built for modern technology companies.

Tempo is doing something different. We're growing through real customer demand, and we now need the right person to help us convert that demand properly.

This is a chance to join early, take real ownership, and help shape what Tempo becomes over the next few years. We're working hard, growing quickly, and having a lot of fun doing it.
