Hunt Forest Group was formed in 2019 through the merger of R. Hunt Ltd and New Forest Farm Machinery, two established John Deere dealerships in the south of England. Drawing on more than 90 years of combined experience, the business now serves a wide range of industries, including agriculture, professional turf, construction, and residential machinery. The company provides the full range of John Deere equipment along with parts, service, and support, helping customers improve productivity and reduce downtime. With six branches and dedicated teams, Hunt Forest Group focuses on delivering reliable, customer-focused solutions across its regions.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Sales Professional role based in England, United Kingdom. The Sales Professional will engage with new and existing customers to understand their machinery needs and recommend suitable John Deere and complementary products.

Responsibilities

- Managing the sales cycle from initial inquiry to closing
- Preparing quotations
- Arranging demonstrations
- Coordinating with parts and service teams to ensure a positive customer experience
- Maintaining accurate sales records
- Following up on leads
- Attending industry events
- Building long-term customer relationships
The Sales Professional is expected to stay informed about product features, industry trends, and competitor offerings to support effective, consultative selling.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in customer relationship management, consultative selling, and negotiation.
- Experience in equipment or machinery sales, preferably within agriculture, turf, construction, or related sectors.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for working with a wide range of customers and colleagues.
- Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize opportunities, and maintain organized sales records.
- Comfort with basic digital tools and CRM systems to track leads, opportunities, and customer interactions.
- Understanding of mechanical or technical concepts related to machinery is highly beneficial.
- Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel between branches and customer sites.
- Previous experience in a dealership or field-based sales environment and relevant vocational or academic qualifications are an advantage.
