About the Company

The VHR group is a multi-award winning technical recruitment business, headquartered in London, supplying contract and permanent technical and professional staff to our clients within the Aerospace & Aviation, F1 & Automotive, Civils & Infrastructure, and Marine sectors. VHR currently employs 65 members of staff across its 8 offices in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Abu Dhabi, Bologna, Prague, Leipzig and Nicosia and generates a turnover of over £40M annually. The Company’s medium-term aims are to grow to 90+ staff and £85M annual turnover.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled 180, 270 or 360 Recruitment Consultant to join our team of Sales Consultants. As a Consultant, you will be responsible for identifying and connecting with highly skilled technical individuals and clients on a global scale. Your primary focus will be to source, attract, and engage both candidates and clients through a variety of channels, including telephone outreach, negotiation, social media platforms, and internet searches.

Responsibilities

Negotiate offers and terms of employment between clients and candidates, ensuring a successful placement. Collaborate with clients to understand their specific needs and requirements, and develop tailored recruitment strategies. Present qualified candidates to clients, facilitating the interview and selection process. Effectively open new and grow existing accounts/business within the Aerospace & Aviation and Engineering & Defence sectors. Work with delivery teams (both dedicated and central) to conduct comprehensive searches to identify and attract highly skilled technical professionals globally. Develop and maintain a network of potential candidates and clients through proactive outreach efforts. Utilize a variety of sourcing methods, including job boards, social media platforms, industry networks, and referrals to identify top talent. Screen and assess candidates' skills, qualifications, and fit for specific roles and client requirements. Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates, providing guidance and support throughout the recruitment process. Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and emerging recruitment strategies. Participate in regular in-house and external training programs to enhance your knowledge and skills.

Previous experience as a recruitment consultant, experience within the Aerospace & Aviation, F1 & Automotive, Civils & Infrastructure, and Marine sectors is highly desirable.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of various sourcing techniques, including internet search, social media, and telephone outreach. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with candidates and clients. Proven ability to assess candidates' technical skills and qualifications. Demonstrated negotiation skills to facilitate successful placements. Self-motivated and driven to meet and exceed recruitment targets. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong organisational and time management skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience in the Aerospace & Aviation, F1 & Automotive, Civils & Infrastructure, and Marine sectors.
