Jafco Tools Ltd is a well-established manufacturer based in Bilston, West Midlands.
As an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of industry-leading track maintenance equipment, we supply a comprehensive range of safety-critical tools and products to the Rail, Highways, Fire, and Industrial sectors.
Due to continued growth and increasing opportunities within our key markets, we are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Sales Representative to promote the Jafco product range and further develop our presence within the UK rail industry through existing customer relationships, direct sales, and equipment hire.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual to play a key role in expanding our business and contributing to our continued success.
Role Description
The Sales Representative role at Jafco Tools is a full-time hybrid position based in Bilston, with some flexibility to work from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, managing existing customer accounts, and promoting Jafco’s specialist hand tools to professionals in safety-critical industries. The role involves conducting product demonstrations, preparing quotations, negotiating pricing and contracts, and following up on leads to convert them into long-term relationships. The Sales Representative will collaborate with internal teams on customer project development, providing feedback from the field to support product improvement and innovation. Regular reporting on sales performance, market trends, and customer needs is required, along with attending industry events and visits to client sites as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
- Promote and develop sales of the Jafco product range across the Rail, Highways and Fire sectors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while identifying and securing new business opportunities.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
- Conduct product demonstrations and attend customer demonstration days at depots throughout the UK.
- Manage your own sales activity, customer visits, and call schedule to maximise business opportunities.
- Represent Jafco professionally and provide excellent customer service at all times.
Requirements:
- A proven ability to promote and sell high-quality products and services.
- Strong sales and account management skills, including prospecting, relationship building, and negotiation.
- Ability to understand and communicate technical product features and benefits, ideally within tools, engineering, or industrial sectors.
- Comfort working on-site and in customer environments, with a proactive and results-focused approach.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent relationship-building and customer engagement skills.
- The ability to identify customer needs and recommend suitable solutions.
- A flexible, conscientious, and professional attitude.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Experience within the rail industry is advantageous but not essential, as full product training will be provided.
