Union Income Benefit (UIB) — Sales Agent (Fully Remote)
About UIB
Union Income Benefit (UIB) is a leading UK insurance brokerage, trusted by over 2.5 million members. For more than 25 years we’ve partnered with major Trade Unions to provide simple, reliable and affordable protection. Since 1999, we’ve paid out over £45 million in claims. We’re regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and proud to have held Investors in People status since 2002.
The Role
You’ll speak to customers who have already opted in for free insurance and are expecting your call. Using our company dialler system, you will:
- Set up free insurance policies quickly and accurately.
- Introduce and clearly explain an optional Accident Insurance product (around £16 per month), answering questions and positioning the benefits in plain English.
- Follow our proven script and compliance requirements precisely, while sounding confident, natural and in control from the first sentence.
- Handle objections smoothly, maintain the flow of the call, and recover quickly from challenging conversations.
- Collect bank details from customers who choose to proceed, using our secure verification and recording processes.
- Work to clear, achievable targets, including a minimum of 40 sales per week, with both quality and results recognised.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
