Caudwell is the luxury property development company founded by English businessman and Phones 4U entrepreneur John Caudwell in 2008. The company has an extensive property portfolio with prime residential developments in the UK and the South of France.
John’s ambition is to create the most exclusive apartment residences ever to be constructed in London & France. Symbols of design excellence that aspire to achieve worldwide recognition as the finest developments of their type.
After acquiring the Audley Square site in Mayfair, the celebrated American architect, Robert AM Stern, was appointed to design a new building to reflect John’s ambition. Planning permission was granted in 2016 and construction commenced in August 2020 with a scheduled construction completion date of Q1 2026, With the design of individual apartments expected to go into 2030.
The development of some 30,700 sqm will have a transformational effect on the Mayfair landscape by introducing a beautifully designed building with contextual architectural references throughout. The 29 individual residences are designed on a grand scale comprising penthouses, townhouses and spacious lateral apartments, many with their own private amenities.

In Cap d’Antibes, France the company has two completed luxury developments which compromise of apartments and penthouses known as Parc du Cap, Les Oliviers and La Belle Etoile an exquisite recently completed Villa. Works are well advanced on Le Provencal, involving the conversion of the iconic former hotel into 35 sumptuous penthouses, garden houses & apartments that will define a new standard of luxury and design in French Riviera living. Construction of the project is scheduled for completion in Q2 2025, the design element of vendors own apartments circa 2030.
Through its projects, Caudwell aims to be synonymous with the very finest in luxury residential developments on the global stage.
In October 2025 Caudwell announced the appointment of Dorchester Collection to manage luxury services for 1 Mayfair.

Caudwell are looking for individuals to support the sales of our legacy project 1 Mayfair. We are looking for solutions-driven individuals with experience in super prime property or similar luxury sectors.
If you have excellent presentation skills and a natural talent for building rapport with a diverse clientele, then please do get in touch. (Multi-lingual is advantageous).
Experience:
- At least two years’ experience in a real estate organisation an in-depth knowldge of the Super Prime London Property Market
Cultural Requirements
- Articulate and a confident communicator; able to listen and influence through discussion
- Adaptability and strength of character is vital to be in tune with the Caudwell culture
- Enthusiasm, energy, and honesty are important qualities
- Caudwell often gets involved with events to support Caudwell Children, a charitable nature and willingness to participate and champion this worthwhile cause would align with the Caudwell culture
