Backbase Senior Account Executive – Technical Account Management

About the Role
As a Senior Account Executive in our regional sales teams at Backbase, you’ll lead the acquisition and conversion of high-value new business deals—focusing on enterprise and C-Level value selling.
In a culture of innovation, teamwork, and growth, you’ll identify, qualify, and close $1+ million deals, building strong partner relationships both regionally and globally. You’ll work in an agile, practical, and fast-paced workplace with the chance to travel worldwide while advancing your career.
Sales Independence, Collaboration & Quota Ownership • Carry out your own sales quota within a regional sales team • Report to the Regional Sales Vice President • Drive new opportunities from lead to close, collaborating with: • Inside Sales representatives • Pre-sales experts (RFPs, deep dives, pitches) • Solutions Engineers • Professional services • Partner organizations in the region • Lead opportunity planning to secure joint wins • Build winning strategies with regional partners
Prospect Engagement & Influencer Positioning • Direct relationship management with global prospects through evolving buying cycles • Work closely with advisors to develop business cases • Manage account prioritization, leading to targeted and scalable wins

Responsibilities
Build & Nurture Key Relationships ✔ Lead regional partner collaborations to foster accounts and new business ✔ Drive joint organization level“ programs with regional partners ✔ Define best practice account roadmaps to drive value ✔ Work on RFPs, market pitches, technical deep dives and POCs with buying committees
Drive Discovery & Consultative Value Selling ✔ Sales Qualification across FSI:function and geography ✔ Collaborate on building business cases with Technical and Services teams ✔ Partner closely with Market Intelligence & Solutions Engineering
Deliver Financial Success & Account Impact ✔ Manage ISPs dive ICA contracts and procurement engagements ✔ Close revenue and build recurring relationships through partner trust ✔ Growth Strategy in collaboration with global and regional teams for collective sales success
Align with our Core Partner Programmes ✔ Develop strategic partner accounts styles within our partner programs ✔ Far right in development competing subversion adding tech capabilities

Requirements
Relevant Experience • 10+ years in an enterprise/SaaS software sales role with quota ownership • Proven closing track record exceeding targets • Recognised as a “closer“ with strong pipeline management skills
Relationship & Communication Expertise • Fast relationship builder and influencer across all prospect levels • Berlin native fluent in English with excellent communication (written + verbal) • Digital-first mindset with deep understanding of omnichannel and customer interactions
Relevant Technical Sales & Business Value Progression • Master builder with ability to partner, influence, and sell complex SaaS tech • Proven experience in financial services solutions management • Ability to speak the language of C-level stakeholders
Travel & Collaboration • Minimum 30% of the role involves travel • Strong collaborative work ethic with partners and team members
