Senior Sales Director, Securities Financing Transactions

About the Role
Cboe Clear Europe N.V. is a multi-asset class central counterparty (CCP) clearing cash equities and securities financing transactions (SFT). We provide critical protection to trade parties, ensuring settlement at agreed terms even if a counterparty defaults. Key Responsibilities
You will be instrumental in growing Cboe’s Securities Financing Transactions (SFT) franchise through strategic sales, client engagement, and market leadership. This role demands deep industry expertise and cross-functional collaboration, reporting to the Head of Commercial & Business Development while also aligning with the Head of Product for SFT Strategy and Roadmap.
Core Duties Include:

Driving SFT Growth
- Develop the SFT franchise by leveraging front office-to-post trade relationships.
- Cultivate and expand client relationships with SFT-focused institutions.

Market Advocacy & Representation
- Lead discussions at key securities finance, regulatory, and financial market conferences, including panel participation.
- Advocate Cboe’s role in market development alongside industry peers.

Strategic Market Engagement & Innovation
- Stay ahead of key market and regulatory trends affecting SFTs.
- Assess changes, impact, and opportunities for partnership development.
- Promote and execute client-established relationships or opportunities.

Cross-Product Collaboration
- Provide sales and SFT domain expertise to colleagues in the Commercial & Business Development team.
- Work closely with Product Management and SFT Operations to improve the SFT product line.
Requirements
This role requires a proven track record in securities financing, market infrastructure, and strategic commercial development.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Over 10 years of financial services experience preferably within the SFT or securities lending industry.
- Hands-on experience with front-to-middle-to-back office functions in:
- A securities lending infrastructure provider or agent as either a seller, borrower, or sales/relationship role.
- Well-rounded exposure to front-office analysis or post-trade execution, including:
- Cash equities (essential) and equity derivatives & ETFs (desirable).
- Demonstrated market infrastructure knowledge or experience in an investment bank/financial services firm.
- Exceptional analytical abilities—quantitative or mathematical skills, with expertise in reporting, KPI tracking, and business case development.
- Strong freelance skills: Sales, deal structuring, negotiation, and cross-functional presentations.
- Ability to foresee industry trends (e.g., regulatory changes, innovation – CBDCs, LiFo financing, corporate action automation) and strategise accordingly.
