Position Overview

As a Sales Service Representative, you'll play a vital role in supporting the sales operations of this growing organisation. You'll be the backbone of their customer relationships, managing orders, resolving queries and ensuring smooth operations across their supply chain. Your work directly impacts customer satisfaction and the efficiency of their entire operation.

Responsibilities

Sales-focused responsibilities:

  • Receive and process customer orders into the ERP system with accuracy and speed
  • Act as the first point of contact for customers regarding order placement and delivery queries
  • Handle price enquiries and resolve delivery delays promptly and professionally
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal colleagues
  • Resolve customer complaints including damaged or delayed deliveries
  • Manage your workload efficiently whilst maintaining best practice standards

This role requires:

  • Efficient and supportive teamwork across departments
  • Clear and regular communication via phone and email
  • Completion of ad hoc tasks as required

Requirements

  • GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English at grade C or above
  • Excellent communication skills for building relationships and handling queries via phone and email
  • Strong numeracy skills for working with quotes, orders, reports and spreadsheets
  • Ability to spot discrepancies and work confidently with percentages
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Resilience and ability to multi-task effectively under pressure
  • Adaptability when dealing with complex situations and tight deadlines
  • Solutions-focused approach to problem-solving and process improvement
  • A 'can-do' attitude with initiative and common sense
  • Strong team player with a supportive approach to colleagues
  • Administration experience is useful but not essential
