🌟 Who We Are

Sumec is a globally respected enterprise with 40+ years of excellence in supply chain operations, advanced manufacturing, and clean energy solutions. As we strengthen our footprint in the UK’s dynamic business landscape, we’re seeking a results-driven Sales Manager to lead our regional growth, build strategic client partnerships, and drive revenue in one of Europe’s key markets.

🚀 Role Overview

Based in London/Birmingham/Manchester (Preferred Locations) – Flexible Hybrid Working

You will own the full B2B sales lifecycle across the UK, developing and executing market entry strategies to penetrate industrial, manufacturing, and sustainable energy sectors. This senior role requires strategic territory management, high-level client engagement, and cross-functional collaboration with global teams to deliver exceptional business outcomes.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement targeted sales plans to capture market share in the UK, meeting or exceeding annual revenue targets (£300k–£500k+ turnover)
  • Prospect and acquire enterprise clients (FTSE 350 companies, mid-market enterprises, and public sector organisations) through consultative selling, leveraging industry networks and digital sales tools (Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator)
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with C-suite decision-makers, understanding UK business challenges to deliver tailored, compliant solutions
  • Conduct in-depth market analysis (competitor activity, regulatory changes, sector trends) to identify growth opportunities in sustainable energy, advanced manufacturing, and supply chain optimization
  • Collaborate with Sumec’s global teams (China headquarters & EU regional office) to ensure seamless cross-border client onboarding, technical support, and contract delivery
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM documentation, providing regular insights to global leadership
  • Represent the company at key UK industry events (e.g., Energy UK, Manufacturing Technology Centre conferences) to enhance brand visibility and network with potential clients

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
