Role Overview
Hitachi is seeking a highly motivated Sales Specialist to join our Grid Integration team. This role focuses on driving growth across Transmission & Distribution (T&D), Renewables, Data Centre & Transport segments, utilizing Gas, Hybrid & Air Insulated Switchgear solutions. You will play a key role in identifying opportunities, engaging customers early in their project lifecycle, and positioning Hitachi Energy as the partner of choice through value-based, solution-oriented selling.
Responsibilities
- Drive sales growth for Grid Integration solutions within the Transmission & Distribution (T&D), Data Centre, Renewables, Industrial and Transport segments.
- Lead the up-front selling of solutions, engaging customers, consultants, EPCs, and utility stakeholders during the early stages of project development.
- Promote and sell Gas (GIS), Hybrid & Air Insulated solutions (AIS) and broader substation technologies.
- Develop and execute account plans for utilities, industrial customers, renewable developers, and key partners.
- Identify market opportunities and create strategies to increase market share and profitability.
- Build strong relationships with decision-makers and influencers throughout the customer journey.
- Collaborate with engineering, proposal, and project teams to develop compelling technical and commercial solutions.
- Support bid management activities, including proposal preparation, contract negotiations, and customer presentations.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering or Engineering disciplines
- Proven experience in technical sales, business development, or account management within the power transmission and distribution industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical grid infrastructure, substations, and transmission and distribution systems.
- Experience with Gas-Insulated Switchgear (GIS) products and solutions.
- High Voltage (HV) 400KV– 132KV and (MV) 66KV-11KV knowledge and Industrial substation experience.
- Demonstrated success in solution selling and influencing customer decisions at early project stages.
