The Opportunity
We are looking for a Critical Environment & Safety Sales Specialist to join our business on a full time, permanent basis. Your role territory will cover the North of the UK, covering both the geographic territory and key customers which fall within it.
In your role, you will support our Account Managers by providing specialist product support for our Safety & Cleanroom portfolio of products.
MAJOR JOB DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND DELIVERABLES
- Promote and sell our Safety & Cleanroom portfolio of products, which includes PPE and specialist equipment, both directly to our customers and through our Account Managers
- Provide technical and product support to general account managers as well as key account managers.
- Organise and attend regular visits with customers, fulfilling sales and margin targets for your territory
- Provide weekly reports to your Sales Manager and maintain customer data, showing visits attended, prospects, and other tasks
- Establish positive relationships with suppliers to ensure support for business growth via joint marketing activity and price support
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Scientific or Engineering discipline preferred but not essential
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a commercial role, or equivalent industry experience
- Prior experience working with laboratory & pharmaceutical production companies preferred
- Full UK Driving Licence
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of Safety and/or Controlled Environment Products is essential
- Extensive sales experience or relevant occupational experience to ensure maximisation of sales opportunities and growth.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as you will be communicating with various stakeholders both internally and externally
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency with the Microsoft Office package and good report writing ability
- Flexibility to travel regularly within your region, and the organisational skills to manage your own schedule to be effective

ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL EFFORT
- This role is based on a standard 37.5-hour work week, typically Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Flexibility is required, as there may be occasional work outside of standard business hours to support customer needs.
- The position involves occasional travel to customer sites, as well as infrequent international travel to attend industry conferences and events.
- The role requires a low to moderate level of physical activity, including occasional lifting and carrying of materials at trade shows and periods of walking while visiting customer locations.
