Kpler is transforming how charterers, operators, and traders work through AI-powered chartering tools and Inbox, our maritime email & workflow hub. As a Sales Specialist, you will drive direct commercial outcomes, meet clear revenue and adoption targets, and act as the go-to expert helping customers understand the value of Kpler’s chartering and communication solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Own the commercial success of Kpler's Chartering and Inbox solutions, driving revenue growth, product adoption, and achievement of sales targets.
  • Generate, progress, and convert sales opportunities by leading product demonstrations, proof-of-value engagements, and trial programmes through to successful close.
  • Deliver compelling, tailored product demonstrations to charterers, operators, brokers, and traders, clearly articulating business value and return on investment.
  • Partner with Account Executives on complex opportunities, providing product expertise during late-stage sales cycles, commercial discussions, and negotiations.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to prospects and customers, understanding their chartering workflows, operational challenges, and business objectives to position the most effective solution.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape across maritime chartering and email collaboration solutions, providing actionable market intelligence to Product, Product Marketing, and Sales teams.
  • Contribute customer and market insights to influence product strategy, messaging, and go-to-market initiatives, ensuring sales enablement materials remain current and effective.
  • Collaborate closely with Customer Success to support successful onboarding, product adoption, customer expansion, and long-term account growth.
  • Represent Kpler as a subject matter expert at customer meetings, industry events, webinars, and conferences, strengthening market awareness and reinforcing Kpler's position within the maritime ecosystem.

Skills and Experience

  • 5–7 years' experience in maritime technology, freight SaaS, chartering software, commercial shipping, or a related industry.
  • Strong understanding of pre-fixture workflows, vessel screening, commercial communications, email-driven processes, and the operational data requirements of shipping organisations.
  • Proven success in a quota-bearing, revenue-generating, or KPI-driven commercial role, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles, from discovery through to close.
  • Excellent presentation, storytelling, and consultative discovery skills, with the ability to communicate value to both technical and business audiences.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce for pipeline management, forecasting, and sales reporting.
  • Target-driven, proactive, and self-motivated, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Passion for improving maritime workflows and helping customers achieve measurable business outcomes through technology.
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative approach and a high degree of ownership.
