The business also creates Pawbeck iced treats for dogs, handcrafted Purbeck Chocolate using rich Ecuadorian chocolate, and Purbeck Cider made with real apples for a distinctive local flavor. Role Description
The Sales Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Wareham, responsible for growing sales across the Purbeck product range and building strong relationships with new and existing customers. Day-to-day duties include:
- Visiting and supporting trade customers
- Presenting product ranges
- Managing orders
- Ensuring displays and point-of-sale materials effectively represent the brand
- Identifying new business opportunities
- Following up on leads
- Meeting sales targets
- Providing a high level of customer service and product knowledge
The role involves collaborating closely with production and operations teams to coordinate stock levels, deliveries, and promotions. This position also includes training customer teams on product features and brand values, attending events and tastings, and maintaining accurate records of activities in line with company processes.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and confident presentation abilities.
- Proven Customer Service skills, demonstrating a friendly, professional approach and a commitment to client satisfaction.
- Solid Sales skills, with experience in prospecting, negotiating, closing deals, and working to targets.
- Training skills, with the ability to educate customers and colleagues about products and brand standards.
- Sales Management-related skills, such as pipeline management, basic forecasting, and prioritizing accounts.

Additional beneficial qualifications include:
- Prior experience in FMCG or food and beverage sales
- Familiarity with local Dorset and Purbeck markets
- A valid driver’s license for customer visits
- Strong organizational skills, reliability, and the ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- Basic proficiency with CRM tools and office software
- A genuine interest in high-quality, locally produced food and drink
