Sales Support Assistant
LOCATIONS: Dundee, UK or London, UK (with occasional travel to London, UK)
Beano Brain, a leading kid, youth and family insights agency, is hiring for a Sales Support Assistant to join the team in either our Dundee office in Meadowside or in London office on Fleet Street. Beano Brain is part of the DC Thomson media and publishing company.

No two days are the same at Beano Brain! There are a mixture of tasks and responsibilities to get involved in, from desk research or talking to Insight Directors and putting together a case study on your findings, to email outreach to getting involved in great events.
This an opportunity to upskill in sales from an experienced Commercial Director at a growing business. You will use your excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills to persuade and motivate internal and external stakeholders.
The Sales Support Assistant will improve commercial discipline, data quality, and campaign effectiveness, ensuring the sales team focuses on high-value opportunities and measurable outcomes. The successful candidate will enable consistent pipeline growth and commercial conversion by generating high-quality prospects, maintaining accurate CRM data, and delivering targeted outreach and events that connect Beano Brain insights with priority clients.
Key responsibilities include:
- Pipeline Prospecting and Qualification - Deliver a consistent flow of prioritised, high-quality prospects aligned to target sectors, enabling measurable growth in qualified pipeline opportunities.
- Targeted Outreach and Campaign Execution - Execute personalised, insight-led outreach campaigns that increase engagement rates, improve response quality, and generate qualified leads for the sales team.
- CRM and Data Integrity Management - Maintain complete, accurate, and timely CRM records, ensuring reliable pipeline visibility, reporting, and decision-making across the commercial function.
- Event and Market Engagement Delivery - Plan and support execution of events and trade shows that expand reach, strengthen client relationships, and generate measurable pipeline contribution.
- Data, Automation and AI-Enabled Effectiveness - Use CRM tools, automation, and AI-assisted research and outreach techniques to improve targeting, scale activity efficiently, and enhance conversion outcomes.
- Ad-hoc improvements to commercial processes and collateral as needed

Skills & Experience
Essential
- Data Analytics - Applies established analytical techniques to extract insight from CRM and campaign data. Produces clear reports on pipeline activity, engagement trends, and performance to inform decision-making.
- Stakeholder Relationship Management - Builds effective working relationships with internal teams and external contacts. Communicates clearly and supports engagement activities that strengthen commercial outcomes.
- Digital Marketing - Executes targeted digital outreach campaigns, applying segmentation and personalisation to improve response rates and lead quality.
- IT Operations / CRM Utilisation - Uses CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot) to manage data, track activity, and ensure process compliance. Maintains system accuracy and supports reporting needs.
- Information Content Authoring - Creates clear, concise, and tailored outreach content aligned to audience needs and commercial objectives.
- Emerging Technology Monitoring - Identifies and applies AI and automation tools to improve research, outreach, and campaign efficiency, within defined guidelines.

Desirable
- Experience with reporting on Hubspot CRM
- Some use / awareness of some of the growing AI tools for development (ie Apollo or Claude or Copilot)
- Background or previous exposure to Insights or Business Services
- Previous experience or interest in Kid-oriented industries
