Job Title: Sales Support Executive
About the Role
At Waste Managed, we are experiencing rapid growth, with our Sales team playing a pivotal role in driving that success. We are seeking a proactive and results-oriented Sales Support Executive to help maintain momentum across our sales operations.
This is a dynamic, high-impact role focused on ensuring opportunities progress efficiently, customer engagement remains strong, and revenue is realised in a timely manner. You will collaborate closely with both Sales and Finance teams to manage pipelines, support payment processes, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of all sales data.
Key Responsibilities
Pipeline Management
- Proactively monitor and manage sales pipelines, particularly where ownership has lapsed
- Ensure all opportunities are actively progressed and followed up
- Identify and escalate risks, delays, or stalled deals, taking appropriate action to maintain momentum
- Prioritise activities based on commercial impact to support revenue delivery
Payment Management
- Proactively follow up on outstanding payments, particularly those outside agreed terms
- Engage with customers to resolve queries promptly and professionally
- Partner with Finance to maintain clear visibility of aged debt and payment status
- Balance a firm approach to payment collection with maintaining strong customer relationships

Sales Administration & Systems
- Maintain and update customer accounts, including transitions from sole traders to limited companies
- Ensure CRM systems are accurate, up to date, and effectively maintained (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot)
- Provide high-quality administrative support to the wider Sales team
- Identify process inefficiencies and contribute to continuous improvement
Revenue Assurance
- Track and follow up on future-dated sales to ensure successful conversion
- Maintain regular communication with customers to sustain engagement and commitment
- Accurately record progress and outcomes within internal systems
- Support onboarding and contract-related processes where required
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in a sales support or similar commercial role
- Strong understanding of the sales cycle and its impact on revenue
- Experience working in target-driven or KPI-focused environments
- Confident and persistent in following up, resolving issues, and driving outcomes
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly
- Experience working cross-functionally (e.g. Sales, Finance, Operations)
- Confident influencing and challenging stakeholders to maintain momentum
- Experience using CRM systems and managing data quality
- Process-driven mindset with the ability to identify and implement improvements
- Resilient and adaptable, comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively across multiple tasks
- Customer-focused approach with strong problem-solving capability
