GTC, part of the BUUK Infrastructure Group, are looking for a Sales Support Officer who would like to help us reach our mission to “earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service”.

Purpose of this role

Providing support with sales administration, analysing sales insight data, and carrying out various administrative duties. Responsible for maintaining accurate data, preparing and issuing quotes, and managing new business enquiries.

Your Key Responsibilities Are

  • Deliver a high standard of customer service by responding promptly and professionally to all enquiries, ensuring a consistent and positive experience from initial engagement through to post-sales support.
  • Support Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) in building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, developers, and house builders, while helping to identify and maximise sales opportunities.
  • Coordinate and manage project activity in line with agreed parameters, including monitoring progress, chasing updates, and ensuring timely follow-up throughout the sales and post-acceptance process.
  • Prepare, review, and issue quotations, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and alignment with customer requirements, while handling related enquiries and resolving issues effectively.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within CRM systems and internal databases, including lead management, data cleansing, project updates, and acceptance processing.
  • Generate and manage new business leads using data-driven insights, ensuring no duplication within the system and supporting ongoing lead nurturing activities.
  • Support the administration of new network acceptances via the QP portal, ensuring all documentation is processed accurately and within agreed timescales.
  • Produce routine and ad hoc reports, ensuring data integrity and providing clear insights to support sales performance and decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of market trends, competitor activity, and company products and services to support informed and effective sales support.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to build strong working relationships, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and enhance overall processes and customer experience.
  • Provide flexible support across the wider Sales & Tendering team, maintaining high standards of professionalism and contributing to team objectives as required.

Qualifications

  • Grade C or above in English and Math GCSE or equivalent.

Experience/Knowledge

  • Efficient and accurate data entry.

Abilities/Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective communication skills at all levels.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to prioritise work effectively.
  • Sound decision making ability.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office programmes.

Desirable

  • Knowledge and/or experience in the utility industry.
  • Experience within Salesforce or other CRM.
