Sales Support & Operations Coordinator

Position Type: Full-time permanent Hours per Week: 37.5 Salary: Up to £25,000 DOE + benefits


Metro Rod is proud to serve high-profile and diverse clients across the FM, Social Housing, Property Management, Retail, Industrial, and Leisure sectors, including Equans, Amey, Aldi, Mitie, Greggs, McDonald's, and Wetherspoons. Now in its 40th year, we continue to grow as part of the Franchise Brands group.

As one of the UK’s leading providers of drain clearance and maintenance services (alongside sister company Metro Plumb), we rely on our 60+ franchisees across all regions. Over 30 years, we’ve built a reputation for quality service and customer satisfaction, offering reactive maintenance to major companies and high-profile brands. Meanwhile, our group also includes Willow Pumps (sewage solutions) and Filta (commercial kitchen services), creating a complete one-stop shop for water and waste management.


Role Overview

The Sales Support & Operations Coordinator ensures operational efficiency, data integrity, and customer fulfilment across the sales lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales & Administrative Support: Coordinate between internal teams to maintain smooth workflows.
  • CRM & Portal Management:
    • Update and maintain customer portals and CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot).
    • Monitor job and performance data, ensuring accuracy and accessibility across platforms.
  • Reporting & Data Analysis: Generate performance reports to track workflows, service levels, and contractual requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies, recommend optimisations, and refine internal systems.
  • Customer Engagement: Maintain high standards in data integrity and customer-facing interactions.

This role is ideal for an organised, proactive individual passionate about sales support, operations, account management, or commercial administration.


Experience & Skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in administrative, sales support, or customer service roles.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (HubSpot or equivalents).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and multi-system environments.
  • Technical aptitude for workflow systems and customer portals (advantageous but not mandatory).
