Sales Surveyor – Residential Fit-Outs Projects

London and surrounding areas
Competitive base salary + attractive performance bonus + mileage allowance
Full-time, permanent | Field-based with flexible home/office working

We are an established and growing residential installation company delivering kitchens, bathrooms and associated fit-out works across London.

We are looking for a commercially minded Sales Surveyor to meet prospective customers in their homes, understand what they want to achieve, survey their space accurately and guide them through the project process - from the first site visit to an approved proposal.

This is not a purely technical measuring role, nor is it a desk-based sales position.

You will be out in the field meeting homeowners, assessing properties, identifying upsell opportunities and helping customers feel confident about choosing us to complete their project. You will then turn the information gathered on site into a clear scope of work and accurate quotation.

You will work in a close-knit, entrepreneurial environment alongside the company owner and the wider operations team.

You will have direct involvement in how we improve our customer journey, sales process, service offering and commercial performance.

For the right person, this is an opportunity to become a key part of a growing company and develop into a senior sales, commercial, surveying or project management position.

What you will be doing

Your typical week will include three to four days visiting customers and one to two days preparing quotations, following up opportunities and coordinating with the team.

You will:

  • Visit residential properties across London and the surrounding areas
  • Introduce the company, explain our service and build trust with prospective customers
  • Consult with homeowners to understand their requirements, priorities, budget and timescale
  • Carry out accurate kitchen measurements
  • Identify potential complications before work begins
  • Recommend practical adjustments where appropriate
  • Define the installation scope of work
  • Prepare accurate quotations
  • Follow up enquiries and quotations through a structured sales process
  • Handle questions and objections professionally
  • Maintain accurate customer, survey and sales records
  • Liaise with installers, project coordinators, designers and external retailers

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Who we are looking for

You may currently work as a sales surveyor, estimator, kitchen or bathroom designer, project consultant, property professional, refurbishment salesperson or construction sales executive.

You must be comfortable combining technical detail with confident, consultative selling.

You will ideally have:

  • Experience within residential refurbishment, kitchens, bathrooms, interiors, fit-outs, construction or a related property sector
  • A good understanding of London homes, including apartments, period properties and the practical challenges involved in refurbishment
  • Experience carrying out site visits, surveys, measurements or property assessments
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • A natural ability to establish rapport and credibility with homeowners
  • A consultative sales approach rather than an aggressive or scripted style
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to prepare professional scopes and quotations
  • Confidence managing several live opportunities at different stages
  • Good organisation and follow-up discipline
  • The motivation to work independently while remaining closely connected to the team
  • A practical, solutions-focused mindset
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, Microsoft Office or similar business software

Kitchen and bathroom experience would be highly valuable, but we are also interested in candidates from estate agency, property services, interior fit-out, construction, design-and-build or home improvement backgrounds who have the right combination of technical understanding and sales ability.

  • Your own car
  • The ability and willingness to travel between customer appointments

Business mileage will be reimbursed.

What we offer

  • Competitive base salary
  • Performance-related bonus
  • Business mileage allowance

  • Flexible home and office working around customer visits
  • A consistent and growing pipeline of projects
  • Direct access to the company owner and involvement in business decisions
  • Support from an experienced installation and operations team
  • The autonomy to organise your appointments and manage your sales pipeline
  • Training on our services, sales, pricing and internal processes

What success looks like

You will succeed in this role by conducting accurate surveys, creating clear and commercially sound proposals, following up consistently and giving every prospective customer a professional and reassuring experience.

You will take ownership of opportunities rather than simply completing site visits. You will understand that great sales in the refurbishment industry comes from listening carefully, identifying risks early, communicating clearly and helping customers make confident decisions.
